Ike's List is a new Auction Site with a difference!

Right now we are only listing things that we ourselves own,
but as the site gains in popularity we will begin to accept listings from others.

To bid on anything you will need to register only your email address, mailing address, and telephone number, which will be unshared, and kept private by IkesList.com.

When you have registered, you will choose a username, and a password.

You will not be asked for any credit card or bank information in order to register. If IkesList.com begins to accept listings from The Public, that may change, but for the present, not.

Some of the items will have Reserve Prices that will remain hidden. Many of them will have no Reserve Price. These will be marked "NR".

Other Items may have a fixed price or Best Offer, designated "OBO" (see below).

When you win a bid, it can happen in at least two different ways.

You meet or exceed the Reserve Price, and no higher bid has been received.

You have the high bid, and there is no reserve, and no higher bid has been received.

After you have won a bid, you will be notified in the website Auction Listing and by email. Your Username will be encrypted on our servers, and it will not be revealed except by the first and last letters, e.g., "ikeslist" would appear as i******t.

The various auction listings will have time limits displayed, mostly measured in days, and expiring at 11 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time of the end date. However:

NOTE: There may be some auctions with no time limit set initially, especially in the first early days of IkesList.com, because we need to see the popular level of participation. For those auctions with no initial End Time, a time limit may be set some time after the listing goes up, perhaps starting when the first bid is received. We are building this Auction Site "from the ground up". Some improvements are likely, although it is already nice.

Automatic Bidding

This works pretty much like the automatic bidding on any auction site.

When you have entered a bid, you will receive an email when either your bid is accepted as the winning bid, by the rules stated above, or if the bid amount is to be kept on the listing until a new bid is received.

When you enter a bid, your maximum bid is automatically lowered to the starting bid and will automatically increase by a set amount, like $1.00 (specified in the listing) whenever another user bids. You may be notified by email if you are outbid. By registering you agree to receive such notifications.

"Buy it now" or "Best Offer" items.

Some items will be listed at a fixed price, or best offer "OBO". If you meet that listed price, we have 2 business days (usually sooner, at our discretion) to see if someone bids higher. If no one does, we will notify you within 2 business days that you have won the item. As soon as we get substantial participation, we intend to speed up this process.

Payment Methods

We accept payment by credit card through PayPal invoices, which do not require you to join PayPal, or by PayPal Member payment, or at our discretion, we might agree to accept other methods you may offer when replying to the email Winning Notification. You will also be sent a automatic PayPal payment link or "Google Payments" link in your winning email, for your convenience.

Shipping Charges and Destinations

On some items we will offer International Shipping. For Domestic Shipping, we will use the United States Postal Service whenever apllicable, or UPS Ground. When the shipping cost is not specified in the listing, it will be the estimated actual shipping cost, plus $5.00 handling. We will usually specify a flat rate or free shipping in the listing, until we have installed automatic determination software on the website, which will alllow users to compute shipping based on Zip Code, etc.

Other Shipping Methods

If you have won an auction and you wish us to use other shipping methods, please respond to that effect in the reply to the Winning Notification, and if we are able to comply, you will pay the actual shipping cost plus a handling charge of 5% of the item price.
